So I started my day at 6:00.

Later I arrived at the shipper and after docking logged in Sleeper Berth, selected the split option, and took a nap.

After 3 hours they knocked on my truck and told me I was loaded. I logged back on duty and drove home arriving at 21:00.

I logged Off Duty and went home for the weekend.

I was later flagged for a 14 hour violation because I didn't complete the Split in the Sleeper Berth.

I guess I was required to sleep in my truck for 7 hours before I went home to bed.

For clarification, the night before I spent 10 hours in the Sleeper Berth so I had a fresh 14 hour reset before I started that day.

Yh I read on here you would have to log the remaining hours of your split as sleeper berth.
Probably just log sleeper an head home if it was me

Put it in sleeper and change to off duty minus eight hours of sleeper berth when you get back. They need to add a Line 5 for hometime or something.

Some of the Local Companies I worked, seemed to have had zero problem(s) with weird logging.

That's the way it works, unfortunately.

Keep Truckin didn't do it that way at first, but does now.

Maybe a rule that 34 hours of Off Duty completes a split..

Reguardless, it is sad to have to use fictitious logs to satisfy the 'spirit' of the rule.

Interesting I'm glad I read this.
I've done similar when I put myself off duty after going to a motel after previously that day having done 3 hours in the sleeper I did not even consider putting myself in The sleeper berth when I went into the motel I just went off duty. The people that came up with these little rules are such mother effing sea suckers
They must really laugh and think they are so smart how they can screw over truck drivers every way they possibly can

Only "flaw" I was aware of was F.M.C.S.A. creating new DRIVER aggravations added to the F.M.C.S.R.
