Fleet owners time off or Vacation question

My buddy and his wife I'm leased to just go mobile and they have 4 young kids to bring along too. We pretty much dispatch ourselves though so it's just a matter of emailing rate sheets and keeping the fuel card supplied.

 

7 truck fleet. There are truely no vacations that are work free. Thats a decision we made when we took on the responsiblity of running more than one truck. We pre plan when we know we are going on a vacation, or even want a "truck free" weekend. But it never happens. Took my wife on a week long vacation for our anniversary this year. Had a truck blow up on day two. Spent the better part of 3 days getting stuff arranged and back together, its just part of the job.

 

My daughter's or son's run the upper management part if needed when we are on vacation and the office / shop staff can actually function without OVERLORD involvement
