Why buy a fleet truck and have to change everything.
Buy an O/O truck to start with !!!
It will be spec'd properly and better taken care of.............

You make a valid point 123456; however when you have a first time buyer, options can be limited.
KH123456 Thanks this. -
That is a really good point about not being to do trailer brake tests with out the spike handle!

I was in this same boat the last few weeks. My local dealer was going to give me a heck of a deal on a fleet trade in 9900, they were even going to swap the 10spd out for a new reman 13spd. I ended up passing on the truck because no matter what changes I made to the truck it was still going to be a plain jane fleet truck. I ended up finding exactly what I wanted last weekend.

How fun would it be to back under a trailer with out parking springs in the chambers.

Let me you ask you mechanics this:Say Jim bought a ex Crete Century without the air slide 5th. Would it be easy to wire it?? I know you might be thinking why am I asking this?? I just wanna know this stuff. I know money speaks when it comes to blinging your truck. Also, I see lots of trucks featuring the FRO15210C tranny when mated to a detroit spec'd in at 455HP with 3:70 or 3:55 rears. Will that pull a loaded trailer good?? I know it may not be the champion but is it a good choice for a beginner versus the FRO16210B/C??
Gunner,
What did you end up getting??
