Fleetmaster express

Wel I can say it's just been in the past few years that Fleetmaster has cleaned up their act. I worked there from 2008 to 2009 and we had plenty of safety meetings saying we had to change things around because our scores were so bad they were about to lose contracts.

A lot of the problems back then was not on the driver. Out of one side of their mouth is was safe and legal, out the other side was, I don't care if you will be over your 14 we need it there or can't you cut that 10 break short so you can get there on time.

We had prepass and I got red- lighted quite a bit just because of the companies scores. So they did deserve an inspection, just never got one for whatever reason.

From what I understand they got rid of the bad management team out of Findlay, OH and made some other good changes and really turned around, but as soon as 2009, they weere not a good company to drive for.

 

Hey swerVymervyn99 they got rid of courtney after years and years of drivers telling them to do so I heard paul is in charge ;lulzy very lulzy .. but with one single phone call bet your ### they will get rid of a driver. That tells a story about them. Nothing seems to have changed except them name of the ### in charge ...

Last I heard P was in charge of the warehouse. E was the one who ran that whole thing into the ground and C was just a puppet for him.

When I first started and my boss out of Wisconsin got our loads it was great. Once E and that motley crew out of Ohio got their hands all over it the job wasn't very good anymore.

I talked to a driver once who wanted to come to Fleetmaster in Ohio. Once he found out E and P was there he said no thanks, he said those guys got fired from Keystone because of messing them up.

 

Steve was a good dude. What ever happened to him ?

 

Not sure who Steve was....maybe after I left, they dispatcher I thought was the best was Dan out of Eden, NC.

Golabraun, did you ever deliver beer to Pittsburg or worse yet, Pepsi to Mc Kees Rock, PA?

Yeah, the only good way to deliver beer to Pittsburgh was get in there real early if you could and sleep until they opened.

Mckees Rock wasn't much fun either.

 

Eden. Only got woke up once while sleeping there. Its always fun at any distributor when upon arriving realizing your the tenth truck in line .

 

low turnover rate?? ok, thats why in a 15 truck fleet where i was located they went thru 21 drivers since dec 2011...
