If you "do it at the switch" your parking brake light wont go out on the dash. :(

Does your red park brake light and day time running light flash at the same time your headlights do when your parked? I wonder if its more of the internals of the ECC than the pressure switch. Maybe the switch doesnt open as much as it needs to and has a slight contact that makes the ECC go on and off, over and over again.

Mine did this for a while. The switch on the air valve was shorted.

Fell asleep early after work. Good thing I woke up. looked out my window to see part of my parking area lit up.
Went outside and my headlights were on but switch was off and parking brake on.
Had to pull the breaker for the daytime running lights.
Guess my switch finally went for good after flashing from day one brand new.

On mine it is only the headlights, does not affect the running or tail lights. Pulling the breaker out does away with the daytime running lights and doesn't seem to affect anything else.

I mean the indicator lights on the information strip on the dash. There is a red park brake light and a green daytime running light indicator icon light.

Oh sorry, misread that. Yes when it does screw up the park light on the dash also goes on and off.

Just a thought I had but have any of you with this issue tried a new pressure switch with a higher pressure rating? Like maybe 75-80 psi?

Star has a service bulletin that shows the proper way to eliminate the DRL.
I'll see if I can dig it up and post it.
I can figure out all by myself when I need my headlights on.

Simply pulling the breaker seems to work. Never affected any other circuit. The breaker is clearly listed on the dash cover panel.
