Mine did this for a while. The switch on the air valve was shorted.

Fell asleep early after work. Good thing I woke up. looked out my window to see part of my parking area lit up.
Went outside and my headlights were on but switch was off and parking brake on.
Had to pull the breaker for the daytime running lights.
Guess my switch finally went for good after flashing from day one brand new. -

Oh sorry, misread that. Yes when it does screw up the park light on the dash also goes on and off.
free2fly973 and Cetane+ Thank this. -
Just a thought I had but have any of you with this issue tried a new pressure switch with a higher pressure rating? Like maybe 75-80 psi?

Star has a service bulletin that shows the proper way to eliminate the DRL.
I'll see if I can dig it up and post it.
I can figure out all by myself when I need my headlights on. -
Simply pulling the breaker seems to work. Never affected any other circuit. The breaker is clearly listed on the dash cover panel.
