Ok I'll give you the truckstop, but drivers come into our warehouse wearing the same thing.

That's what you call a "steering wheel holder" and nothing more. No sense of safety or professionalism.

However.. when I park for the night, I throw off the boots and kick back right away.

I'm sure there's a law maker in washington right now dispatching a think tank to come up with the statistics for flip-flop related accidents so the gov't can regulate something else.

There really is no excuse for this. Just because you lose your flip flop, shouldn't make you crash.

There have been times I waited until I got to the highway and got to cruising speed before I took my shoes off. I wait until there is no traffic around me, or at least make sure they are far enough away, and I WATCH THE ROAD, while I take off my footwear. You don't need to look down in order to do this.

Because it is an immigrant they will likely get away with it, if it was anyone else they would already be rotting in the jail.

It means the immigrant will likely face deportation if he is here on a visa. Where as an American citizen would surely face much stiffer penalties. It happens all the time. I'll give you an example....

A friend of the family. Her daughter heads off to college where she meets a nice mexican man studying at the same university. They become good friends. One day the young man tells my friends daughter he is moving to another college, would she mind driving his U-haul. Long story short the U-haul is full of marijuana. My friends daughter, who had never been in trouble before is now in prison. The mexican was sent back to mexico.

When I saw the title to this thread, I figured that the tail end of a set of wiggle wagons got away and started "flip flopping" around.:biggrin_25524:
