Unfortunately this was a load I could not move. And every time I spread the trailer, all the weight goes on my drives. I am empty now. Got lucky. Missouri doesn’t check for axle weight just gross weight even then, all the scales were closed.

My company uses it on a 4 axle trailer. And has used it on 3 axle trailers. I think with 4 axle trailer it weighs 56k

Important info on the Flip Box Neck:
I could not get under it when I was at the receiver. By this I mean my suspension wouldn’t go any lower. Only reason I was able to get under it at the truck stop last night after I flipped it down was because I had my trailer on 2x4s. I would’ve been so screwed last night!
I was extremely lucky that I was being unloaded by the shipper: who was a Heavy Haul Rigging Company. They helped me by putting the flip neck back on my trailer.
Someone earlier mentioned to throw that away. I am inclined to agree. This is a dumb design, I hope that I am doing something wrong and the manufacturer didn’t think this is acceptable.Albertaflatbed Thanks this. -
Who told you that?

I’m getting the hang of hooking and unhooking. Been doing what you stated. When I do it right, it’s effortless picking the trailer up.cke and Albertaflatbed Thank this.

I appreciate it. My options are limited. If I want a good interest rate and payment options I need to stick with my company. All they have is new stuff. I got quotes from dealers with financing options and they were no good and required huge sums down.Albertaflatbed Thanks this.

Permit dept. only gross. Didn’t bother verifying but common sense would say federal bridge law/formula is a real thing.

You can use it on a 2 axle trailer that doesn’t mean crap. That’s a 28,000 pound truck with a long wheelbase and a short neck trailer. Unless you cheat the pusher you’ll never get weight on that steer, you’ll be lucky to get 14k on it. which means you will actually lose pay load. But again do what you want, it’s your dime.

State permit department or your company permit department?

This is an important consideration. That flip neck would come in handy if it worked without a forklift!cke Thanks this.
