Floating the gears; not using clutch

    or Sikeston Mo. to South Tejas weekly back in its day. 1951 clutch peddle pad is original. No wear. Lol.

    So you know the difference between a synchronized and non synchronized transmission then. It's even more important in light duty synchronized with brass blocker rings. Glad you never broke one. And I will agree with drag racing. That's a exception. The GLH was a neat car. But a Lee Iacocca and Shelby K car. Cool cars, still garbage Kcar parts.

    Older Eaton/fuller, spicer,mack, brown were all straight cut gears. That fact does not matter. Helical gears are simply quieter, stronger. Sliding clutches on main shaft and shaft splines are still straight cut gears. Main and counter shafts are constant mesh Hylical gears. Stronger, quieter. Not the one that takes a beating till debries run through them.

    Had the same trouble with some uneducated wrecker drivers.
