Sorry, I should have gave a detailed description of how to float gears to experienced truck drivers instead of a vage description Anyhow, you ever watch DC Cab? I work for the DC Cabs of oilfield trucking. Yes, I have driven without a speedometer and a with broken tachometer. Now don't be jealous if you can't do it Here is a thread I started if you want to know what I do and a couple of pictures as well. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ookie-driver-takes-oilfield-hauling-fuel.html
So you intended such a vague description for a new driver. It's not a problem to drive without a speedometer or tachother other than the legal one for the speedometer. Thanks, enjoyed!
Just making a commit. I'm happy you gained feelings in your left leg and able to work again but don't give me grief about my company's policy! If they want me to float gears, I'm going to float gears. As for my knees, you can actually wear knees out permeantly and at the same time limited on knee replacements. I've actually know a young lady who had to have both knees replaced because of running. My mother recently had one of her knees replaced. A prostectic knee has a life of about 7-10 yrs and you can only replace them 1-2 times. So ya, I take it easy on my knees. I get plenty of exercise as well through Martial Arts, Mountain bike, and hike. Oh the truck had a Speedometer...sitting in the passenger floor board. The previous driver pulled it out for some #### reason and broke it. So the mechanic had to order a new one and my truck was down for repairs. That left me with the broken speedo. Legal, nope, but we do very little driving.
Wasn't giving you grief about company policy, rather just messing with you about your knee comments...that is unless your company bases it's policy on your knees... ######, did it again!
