Just to be clear...I DON'T have PrePass and this is only an issue I'm having in Florida. I seam to get the bypass lane more like 50% of the time (which seams more random) in all other states.

So this has me scratching my head wondering what if anything I'm doing wrong?

Sorry, we posted at the same time. No I don't have prepass. I do try to stop as softly as possible but maybe I need to try harder...err or is that softer? lol

You should be stopping before you pull on the scale like the sign says. I work for LS and I still get pulled in empty in FL.

I come to a complete stop before I pull onto the platform...always. There is a giant red stop sign right before the platform. Hard to miss...

I still don't understand why I get put on the platform so much in the first place? That's more my concern than why they hold me on the platform.

Maybe you're the only one with a clean truck in that company so they know it's you. Once they recognize you, they decide they're going to screw with you and make you weigh even though they know you're empty. Then they come on to TTR and lurk on the forums waiting for some guy to complain about Florida scales always pulling them in for seemingly no reason. They laugh while drinking a couple beers together not believing it actually worked.

Little do they realize it turns you into a conspiracy theorist and you end up quitting your job so you can post in the TTR politics section 24/7. DOT ruins another life...

I knew there had to be a rational explanation.

I don't know if they have plate recognition or not like other states, but I wouldn't doubt it. There are sensors that tell the scale how long, tall and wide, that I do know. They do not like my tarps on a 11'11" load, says I'm 13'. You don't run a weird trailer or a super long truck do you which would fool the sensors into thinking your something your not?

The plate recognition thing is what I was wondering about. Kind of like Oregon does. Didn't know if Florida does that or not?

Truck/trailer is a 387 pete with a 53' Great Dane reefer. Nothing unusual.
