where do i start its not a bad company if u dont mind being ran in to the ground yes i mean it literaly i worked for them in 02 they shcedule all loads 11-10-11-10-11-10 till u get there drive fro 11 then go directly to sleep then when ur 10 is up get up and back to drive repaet till ur there this is how they drive dot legal wich it is but u have to fuel shower eat etc.. on ur 10 hr break so that means only 6-7 hrs sleep not good very high turn over rate you never deliver the load u pick up coss u always switch with some other driver who is late or out of hrs i never once had to unload they will pay all lumper fees not much veriaty on runs u live on I80 for the most part but u do get good miles the only trips i had under 1000 miles was my home run wich was joliet ill to bethleham pa most of there loads r kraft food [never sat for more than 3-4hrs not bad concidering some places i went 4 days in salinas ca on produce load ] u get home when u ask but u better put in for it the day u come off home time and every day the weekend ur to go home if u dont ask off they will keep u out in def [ talked to guy who had not been home in 6 months no joke ] the disp i had was very good would try his best to get where u wanted to go [i liked az tx and 99 in cali ] and got there quite often the trks where desent all petes short hoods tho but had cats and 13 spd decent amount of options like fullgauge pac but cut to 435hp and 68 mph but 70 if u got fuel bonus threw the ecm no idle only way to get it but truck ran great never was broke down had a flat and couple blow out dang recaps most of the staff is very nice except the operation manager the owners son 1 of the most ignorant guys u will meet his exact words when he fired me were " my costermers mean more to me than any of u worthless drivers will " thats is low and it hurt u do get the owners home number to solve probs so u can threaten the night disp with the call to murrey night disp has no clue wanted me to drive in a blizzard in wy with the inter state shut down trks sliding in the ditch es comein in the trk stp no not this driver but they said take the local roads lol they have the smallest terminal ive ever seen its about 2 maybe three acres 2 bay shop and tiny office but yes no nyc or new england [ went to pic up load in dallas goin to seldon ny told disp not taken it asked y told them that is in long island ny he checked and i was tlod to get a trl down the road and went to cali with them u will go a lot of places i went to every state in the south but florida but all in all its not bad if u dont mind runnin 14 hrs a day like i had to to get there on time like beth pa to long beach ca with drops in san fran stockten fresno and santa ana in 3 days ok 3500 miles but 36 hrs later i was in salt lake city stoped and rufused to go any farther and slept day and a half or like the time a had to run from denver to los angles 900 some odd miles coss the load was goin to the peir and then to china but all in all i liked the job the pay was good 700wk lots of miles good trks and trls but i got burnt out running that hard for that long like most of there drivers cone in 6 months and lost 1200 $ charged for all the late deliveries pus stranded in iowa in dec with no way back to balt md payed for my own bus ticket home thats all ican think of for now any other question just ask later

In 9 years of driving I have never been treated as badly as I was with Florilli. Let's start with orientation which I was impressed with. They bus you in to Iowa City and put you up at the Heartland Inn (owned by Heartland Express) where the orientation is held in one of the meeting rooms. First they take you to the clinic for your drug test and physical, and then you return to the motel for the usual paperwork nightmare, you're taken to the Italian buffet bext door for lunch, not bad food and they finish out the day going through the driver handbook in a hurried manner. So far so good, I appreciated the fact that as an experienced driver I didn't have to sit through hours of JJ Keller safety videos that I've seen on countless occasions. The next day is when you begin to learn what kind of disorganized, joke of a company they really are. They take you by car to a little steel building in the middle of a cowfield in West Liberty that they call their terminal. Inside this ragged building are a few offices, an old Peterbilt in the corner covered with dust, a boat, a BMW and several piles of unused office furniture and broken down lawn equipment. You're introduced to your fleet manager, payroll personnel and a few other people then you're whisked away to Truck Country in Davenport to pick up your truck. I can't complain too much about the truck I was issued, it was an 08 Pete with 46,000 miles, standard issue company truck with none of the bells and whistles, but that was expected. I was displeased however with the cleanliness of the truck, it was filthy and smelled really bad. The floor was covered with dirt and hairs and the seats had alot of lint and what appeared to be animal hair clinging to them which I found odd as they have a no pets policy. The mattress was broken down and also had an odor, when I laid down on it I could feel springs poking me in the back. As soon as I started the truck a message came over the qualcomm, my fm wanted me to "help them out" and run a load over to Sterling, Il. and it had to be there in a hurry, I was told by fm "I'll try to get you paid $20.00 for this cause it's too short for mileage pay" which I never did see on my pay statement. The next load was from Davenport to Bethlehem, Pa. and it got me past the house as they promised so I could get all my stuff together. I delivered in Bethlehem, loaded nearby and ran it to Bath, NY where I sat for two and a half days without a load. To make a long story short I'll hit the highlights of the rest of my month stint with this company. They use Sbar elcetric heaters in the 08's and TriPak in the previous model years and they harass you to death about idling. Common sense tells me that if you run an electrical accessory without running the engine you're gonna have a dead battery. Guess what? In Chariton Iowa during a snowstorm in 7 degree weather the battery goes dead while I'm asleep, woke up freezing and I have nowhere to go for 3 hours because the little fuel stop I was parked at closes overnight. The "required routing" keeps you off the toll roads and on back highways lessening the possibility of making your appointment. They play the 50 gallons here, 75 gallons there cheapest fuel game. They also exploit the concept of relaying loads and keeping the drivers from getting any high mileage runs, in a month I relayed at least 5 times. Each week I was with this company consisted of 50% running and 50% sitting. I took advantage of their "open door policy" and the promise to resolve their drivers issues by calling the owner of the company with the phone number that is provided in the letter to the drivers written by the owner himself to address my concerns. Four days later I was told to take my truck to Truck Country for some necessary mechanical attention and upon arrival I was met at the door by the man that directs orientation and was told to clean out my truck and was issued a comchek in the amount of a Greyhound ticket home. To top it all off and add insult to injury, they kept my last paycheck and justified doing so by telling me that my orientation pay is really a sign-on bonus that you lose if you stay less than 90 days, even if leaving is not your choice. The decision is up to you.

I see Florilli a bunch and none of the drivers I have talked to have a whole lot of good thing to say about them. Most are REALLY tired looking and that tells me something right there.
About the only good thing I can say is they have really nice looking trucks.

That "should" tell you something. Florilli hires drivers that don't give a ###### what they look like or care what they look like just like all other companies. You get good drivers and you get bad drivers. If you look horrible, it's noones fault but your own. I stay clean, look clean, my truck stays clean inside and I wash it when I can on the outside even if it means breaking down and tossing a couple bucks into a quarter wash every now and then. While I'll agree I wish they would fix the damage to "all" the trucks, they do fix some, I have seen them. But as usual, its the drivers who damage the trucks here, not the company. That happens everywhere. I just believe if Florilli had a stricter hiring policy, alot of the complaints and damaged trucks would be a thing of the past because of dipschitt drivers who can't drive safe or not hit ######.

just recently applied to this company and can anyone tell me about this company! got 5yrs. exp. been with a couple otr carriers.just wondering if anything has changed since 11/2010 seeing that was the last post

Hey truckinstum. I used to work for florilli. U should really stay away from there. I still have friends there(drivers) and its all the same BS . U will sit for days at a time especially if u get allen as ur dispatcher and everybody there is ignorant. So this is my warning to u. Choose another company one that at leasts will respect u and give u a clean truck with a unused mattress.florilli is only good for drivers with screwed up records and I believe that is why they treat u like shiznit. Im with a company now that respects me and I get at 300 Miles a wk and I was issued a brand spankin new truck with plastic on the seats and matress. So there is good companies out there. Take care and hope it al works out. Oh yeah give the whole office the number 1 fan sign for me. Lol

So if you have a good company why not share with us the name and location, maybe they need a few good drivers and we all know this is a good place to find them!!
