I was like a rookie all over again with these 2 old Mack's Lol. The turning radius is horrible, in tight places you better get it almost perfect on your first setup or your starting all over again. Some guy was spotting me blind siding it and tells me to cut the wheel more. That's all she has right there

Thats the exact situation! Haha. I’m expecting to be able to just make that cut like a Volvo, but, run right up against the steering stops. Ugh!

Well been stuck in Big Springs NE all day today.Hopefully they open I-80 back up in the morning. I need to make some serious miles to make my delivery on time now. Should have ran to Wy last night but I figured I had enough time before that storm hit. I should have looked it up myself was going off of what radio said and said it was not suppose to hit bad until Mid day today. When I got up this morning it was already closed with 10-12" of snow on the ground.

Well finally managed to roll my butt to where I needed to be for delivery. Got lucky and got the load rescheduled for Monday since I got stuck on I80 in Big Spring NE. Was worried it might be longer but it is my main broker I work with so I knew he would do everything he could to get me in. After all the extra idle time and lots of 10-20 head on wind for about 300 miles I ended up with 7.1 MPGs. Not that good but not overly disappointed considering I had a lot of challenges on this load for Fuel efficiency.

Checked on my trailer tail I ordered and it still has not been shipped. It is the New OEM tail for Utility and they have not officially approved it for trailers that are not being built. Also got a little more information on the tool boxes I am trying to get installed on the trailer. Hopefully can get some of this stuff done within the next month or so.

Im probably looking most to what the trailer tail does. That’s something I always felt was a waste of time and something that would just be broken more then not. Thanks for this thread.

I think for a fleet it would be hard to do. Gonna have too many people ruining the tails before they could pay for themselves. The one I am getting will not be those long ones like Prime uses so it should be doable. I don't think it will do much but every little bit adds up in the end. One of these days hopefully it will all pay for itself. If nothing else it will give the trailer a better resale value when it is time to buy another.

I am ashamed of myself for taking a load going to CA. Was the only thing I could find and I am not proud of it at all.

Load from NV to CA is 35K and I took I think 395 through the mountains. Lot's of snow through that area but roads was pretty nice since it was a few days ago I think. Had drifts up to about top of my truck in some areas and got some pretty good pics.

Deliver in the morning so will see what I get in MPGS. A decent head wind in the beginning but then smoothed out the rest of the drive. Lot's of mountains on that road but was well worth the view in my eyes. I like going into mountains and checking all the neat Lakes and water features out throughout the mountain areas.

Well this load ended up being 7.7 MPG's. I am not a fan of the area especially on parking although I was able to find a spot to get something to eat. Way too many homeless people around the area still. I had not been out to that area in about 7 years ago and it got worse.

So because of no parking area I just picked a load going to UT since I had no where to sit and really work the board. Load is 25K so should do decent on this load and hopefully bring my overall MPG back up for this trip.

On a side note I have managed to lose about 5K in gambling during this trip, I went to three different places and lost my butt off on the first two. The last one I did ok but tried to hard to make up the lost money and just went for it. Almost but failed yet again. At least on the last one I hit three jackpots that let me play. The other two casinos just plan out sucked and never paid anything. I may have to stop playing for a while after this trip. Ha Ha The rates are not good enough to waste that kind of money. I got frustrated sitting for to many days and took it out on gambling I guess. #### the luck!
