Yeah I think you could be right. Would do super singles in that set up as well for max MPG's.

 

Had to play a little bit last night while at Saint Louis and hit a couple little jackpots. $1600, $1250, and this one $3500. Of course did not make that much but came away with another $1700 for a couple hours. On a role !

On another note the MPG's so far on this trip is doing much better. Hanging strong at 8.5 so far. Have about 600 more miles to go and will see how It does.

 

So finished the load going to Florida and it got 8.6 MPG's and that was almost to Miami. Picked load up and heading to AL so will see what it gets. I was at 9.5 MPG by the time I hit Jacksonville but have dropped since then from the wind. Best I have done since winter started so I am pretty happy so far on that part. Might do a little short run tomorrow or just enjoy some nice weather. Or maybe see if I can find a Casino somewhere and check it out. I am on a role so might get lucky again. Ha ha

 

Well from Florida to AL I got 8.7 MPG's. Found a heavy load going back home tomorrow so will see how that does. I lost my butt at the casino as well so gonna be the end of the fun for awhile I think. I need to start getting serious again and put some money back so I can maybe get me a new home by end of year.

 

One of the specialized hose clamps came loose and popped the hose off today on the new truck. Luckily it was a 10 minute fix to put it back together. This is a load of paper so it is heavy and guessing it was barely tighten since I been pulling light loads for awhile. I had heard some other people have problems like that as well. I should probably go through all of them and make sure they are all tight.

MPG's are sucking right now going through the AR Mountain area blows. I was at 9.2 and now down to 8.3, it amazes me on how fast the fuel MPG goes down once hitting mountains and curves non stop for 50-100 miles. Not really away to keep foot off fuel pedal when you going up more then going down.

 

I had those IFTA reports similar on my last truck and hated them always. I am liking this one a lot more but will be changing a lot on my next truck. I wish I had known more like I know now when I ordered this truck.

For what it is I think it will be a solid 8-8.5 MPG life time when I am done with it. Not to bad for someone that walked into trucking with no experience and learning as I go. Next truck will be 9-10 MPG truck life time.

 

Gonna be able to go up to 70 without any major loss. I normally run 62-67 now days and enjoy those speeds so that will be the area I want the most efficient fuel mileage.
