Well after almost a month of setting I finally found a job to do that is worth turning the truck back on. This is a 4 stop load from MO to WA at 16K. So should be decent MPG's for the trip. Not on a tight schedule either so can go slower on this load if I want. Hopefully the roads are looking decent in that area by the time I get up around there. Will be nice to get back out on the road as I am getting tired of setting.
On another note I found a closer place to park the truck and cheaper. So after I get back I will get that set up. Went from 175 a month to 100 a month and only 20 minutes away vs 50 minutes away. I will enjoy that a lot more and can book loads a little easier the same day if need be.Vampire, ducnut, RedForeman and 3 others Thank this. -
So as a lot of you know from over a year ago I had my old truck damaged by a towing company. Well I have been waiting for the lawyers to do their thing and finally am done with the waiting. They are now going to go to court as they have tried to neg with the insurance company. So with a little luck in the next year or so I will get something taken care of. I will not just let it go over and will spend whatever I need to make sure those people suffer like I did.
Hopefully others that have been in same situation will go after the companies and make them pay. I am a one man show, and cannot afford to let some other company try and ruin my business just because they can. I am sure at this point they thought I would not be taking them to court. I had told my lawyers a while back to forget about trying to deal with the insurance company and just go with the law suit but they wanted to keep trying. In the end they just wasted time and I figured that would be the case.JoeyJunk, Vampire, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well this load to WA was suppose to be a nice easy slower ride with MPG in mind. Well not gonna be that great since I decided to stop at the casino Friday. Was gonna leave around 4-5 PM and take an easy driver. Ended up leaving at 10PM and now been fighting lots of direct wind and driving 70 MPH. On a good note I won/ take home 8K in the couple extra hours I was at the boat. Pretty much made what I will make on the load in a couple hours. So no worries on the crap MPG's gonna make on this trip. I hit I think like 7 jackpots all mainly 1200-1800 with one at 3800. At the end was betting all 25's and could had left with another 2k but tried to hit a big one with no luck.
So far I am at 6.5 MPG and was down to 6MPG when I got to Denver. I will make it to my first drop tomorrow night for Monday morning. Then do 3 drops and finish the last drop on Tuesday. Have a heavy paper load going back home. I might go out one more time after that then stop for a week or two and do my taxes. I need to spend a few days catching up my paperwork before I am ready to know out the taxes. I have been slacking a little more then I would like to admit on paperwork. I need to get back into my business mind mode.JoeyJunk, Vampire, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well stopped for the night and about 45 miles to first stop. I managed to bring the MPG's up to 7MPG so far for the trip. Managed to do that even going 70 and 75 the whole 700 miles today. Made it to Missoula MT for the night and will get up early to make my delivers tomorrow. Was a pretty day today as well.

Well took too long to this morning at a drop to get to my second to last drop out today. Will have to get my butt moving fast in the morning to get to the last drop on time. I got 8.7 MPG's from the last drop I did and it was about 250 miles. Only a few miles from my 3rd drop and I am at 9.5 MPG's on around 400 Miles. Total so far on the trip has climbed up to 7.4 MPG making it respectable at least considering I have been hauling butt. Have about a 150 more miles before I am done so should be close to the 7.4 or maybe 7.5 when done.
On another note while driving up here this afternoon I get a call and they canceled my load back home. That really sucks since I had planes for the weekend at home. Unless something pops I guess I will need to cancel plans. Always something going on to take away your life plans. Ha Ha -
Well for the trip out this morning I averaged 9.4 MPGs on around 170 miles and total 7.5 MPGs for that trip with product in trailer. Deadheaded back to same area as this morning and averaged 10.3 MPG's empty and now trip is at 7.6 MPG's all in. Need to find something for tomorrow since it is pretty much to late here. I hate this area when trying to find loads on same day, I tend to always come up empty handed. I am gonna have to lower my standards I am sure to get out of here. Wish my load I had booked before I left did not get dropped.
