I think it will be fine if they install it correctly. . I have seen those as well and don't think this will be an issue. I will for sure get my ladder out and take a close look at the install to ensure they did it right.
Well got it back all installed. Will need to get me a load sometime this week or next and see how it does.
I need to clean the whole dang trailer. They said I had to be there by 7:30AM and so I got up at 5AM to take it in. Will get it detailed next time I am out for sure.
Utility hinges suck at that, anyway. Their reefer doors, with those horizontal channel pieces, are even worse. Their engineering department needs to figure out something different on both. Otherwise, I think, they’re the best trailer on the road.
I'll look forward to your reports on this system with interest, but I'm personally done with aero crap on the back of my trailers. The juice hasn't been worth the squeeze in my operation. Don't take it the wrong way, the stuff works and I'm a believer. However, it only works in ideal conditions (good terrain, no wind), which is less than a third of the time if I'm being generous.
I have my doubts as well but wanted to try this out. I am really trying this stuff out for future purchases and planning. It is just good to see first hand on what works and what does not work or pay for it self. I have a few bucks to blow on stuff like this so it will not hurt to try it out. I also enjoy seeing the results. So the best I ever got with this truck on a fill up was 9MPG's and only got that once. I will hopefully get that a few more times this summer.
Well just got done getting set up on the new parking location. Place is 15 minutes away and cheaper than they other location. Owner seems to be a pretty nice guy and has offered to let me use his shop if I ever need it as well. Can pull truck and trailer through with plenty of room to work. I feel this place is gonna be a lot better than the last place I was parking at. Only down side is it is on gravel and will get dirty if setting for long. I think this will be a good set up for now until I can find a home with some land.
OK got a load going to that has two drops. One goes to AR and the other goes to TX. Load is about 18K and will be the first load with the new aero on back of trailer. I think it is suppose to be pretty windy this weekend so I am gonna guess it wont be that good. Gonna go pick it up here in a little bit and then leave Sunday to go and make first drop.
