Im not, but we’ll see. I definitely wish they had the Cummins in them though. If I remember right the Paccar engine extended warranty was like $2000 more dollars then the Cummins. Made me go hmmmmm!?!? Wonder why? ;)

That is kind of strange but maybe they know something. What was the cost of the extended warranty on the Engine? I paid 13,820 for everything that could be covered on my truck with the 5Y/500K on it. Figured it was well worth it especially for resale later on.

I only do the engine package which for Cummins is $5500 but seems like Paccar engine was $7500. I figured maybe they know it’ll need more work then the Cummins. lol

I almost just did the engine but figured after all the issues I had on the other truck WTH I am not gonna take a chance. I think it might have been a mistake since the truck has been solid so far. But who knows later on what will happen so better safe then sorry!

The PACCAR roulette wheel spun me this, two times(!), today. At least it didn’t go into neutral. Instead, it stayed stuck in 12th, until it corrected itself. Haha. Good times.

I might be looking for new employment, after my standoff with the shop and ownership, today. I’m not going to be indefinitely kicked out of my truck and forced into driving/living in a trash can, when they hadn’t even made contact with the dealer. I told them to get arrangements made for a dealer tech to look at it and I’ll gladly take it in. Otherwise, they can find another driver for the truck. I want to get back into a Volvo, with a company who take pride in their equipment and themselves.

That is crazy how many times that has broken down. I sure hope they get it fixed or you find something worth driving for.

Dropped it off at my local dealer, this morning. I informed them of my situation and asked for them to call me, with an update, regardless of their communication with my employer. They understood why I feel like I do.

Currently, shuttling a ‘22 2nd Gen T680 up to HQ. Transmission programming is totally different from mine and much better. The collision mitigation is way better. Front suspension rides nicer. But, the PACCAR rear suspension is still just as harsh. I would’ve asked to move into it, except the previous bonehead has already damaged both fenders and bumper guard, plus trashed the interior. Nicer truck to drive, for sure.

No. It had 67K on the odometer. Dude left his Bojangles trash in it, with batter crumbs all over the floor, so there are deep fry oil spots all over the floor. He put his key and fuel cards in a payroll envelope and dropped it into the mail slot. Come Monday morning he wasn’t at his shipper. Didn’t even have the decency to tell them he was quitting. Pretty mindblowing. But, that’s the industry, these days.
