I have already done the research on it and it will lift 2" off. That was why I backed out of it last time as I did not think it would work. But since I had talked to a few more people they seem to believe it will not be an issue unless over 15K. If I could get 3" on it I would feel pretty good about it and would drive slow with it up at around 63 or so.

Just like a stinger on a RGN.
Adjusts by pressure instead of height.

Trust me you won't be happy with 3". It will scuff on every bump in the road running empty. I don't think 4 is enough either. 5" would be the minimum I would want and it's still probably gonna get some minor scuffing.

    gentleroger and Siinman Thank this.

Could you run a lower profile tire on the lift axle?

I guess I could if need be but I would not want to add all that extra cost to.

I am taking it you are talking about changing all 8 tires to low profile.

Maybe it depends on what truck you are pulling the trailer under? Seems the guys I am talking to all have new trucks and maybe the older trucks was more the issue?

No, just the 4 on the lift axle, smaller tire to give more clearance to avoid scuffing them.

Seems that would be an issue with two sizes when it Is down.

Thats what i was wondering, if the different sizes would create more of an issue than just "looking funny."

Shouldn't be an issue can't see that making any difference. Unless somebody has a really low fifth wheel and 17.5 tires on the truck? I had 11R22.5 and I *believe* 47" fifth wheel height which is pretty typical dry van/reefer height.

    Siinman Thanks this.
