yes the store i went too was called toy r us , its a kewl store with lots differnt toys, but yes practice practice, becuse out in the real world, i still cant back into some places , untill i finnley get it in the hole, why, becuse there setup for a 48' and cabover with no room in front too pull up thats east coast, then i get the caves too back in , up too the docks, again very tricky, got to wacth the the top corner of your trl , so as not to hit the cones supporting the cave wall , then you got the back in the building, again very tricky, why as you back in , your mirror goes black on you , cant tell at all whats back there, i ussally back in the building with trl door closed then once inside and set up right, ill opean them, see drivers do it the other way and pop the doors off as they came out the building , its pretty close too wall too some those docks are, but that a few years down the road for you, stuff they never teach you in driving school, but i saved the best one for last, i back off a roundta bout or roarty out in mass , yes that was a fun day for sure :biggrin_25525:

That sounds funny, but it's actually a good idea. I never even heard about that idea while I was in training. We had a woman in our class that failed her skills test twice and was on her last try. The instructor asked me to work with her since I already passed. I worked with her on the obstacle course the rest of the day and she was still clueless. Then I come up with the toy truck idea out of desperation.

That afternoon, we went to Walmart after school and she bought a toy truck and two walkie talkies. We played with the toy truck for probably three hours and I saw she was getting the concept down. Then I got to work with her the next day on the obstacle course and she showed a huge improvement.

Then we cheated, lol. She put a walkie talkie in her purse and I snuck down in the wood line. Come test time, I talked her through it. :)

She is still driving today with her husband. We even took the toy truck and walkie talkies back to Walmart for a refund.

    Congratulations!!!!:biggrin_25514:
So what advice/tricks from this thread did you find to be the most helpful?
Prior to this thread, I had heard of the "Toy Truck" and the "Bottom Steering Wheel" methods. Just curious if you tried them yourself.
