0058. July 11th. Nor corndogs, no pizza, some donuts. There was Hi Rev. Approximately 2 dozen NASTY breakfast sandwiches.
My apologies for the late update, but literally had the prank schedule placed on me today. At the end of the day the big boss asks " How was Tucson?"
I said fine, no problems, quick unload ( whole truck 33 minutes ), ask them please hurry, I was worried about time.
So I use the can, and I'm leaving the offices, the planner asks " So how did you like going up the hill, having to come back, then the Tucson turn around?"
I said " Well its not really fun, you don't really even have time to eat ( I did stop and get a Jumbo Jack to go, and inhaled it before I even got through the light ). But its no problem.
He looked disappointed. Says " Your the only one that has come back and not been raving about how bad that run is."
Told him he will never hear me complain about load assignments ( its all kinda the same ). Safety issues, slow receivers, write ups not taken care of, yes you will hear about that.
And the one supervisor turned me on to his own Hi Rev stash in the office, so I may never darken the J's door again, except to use the can or steal mustard.

Charco broiled steak, baked w/butter, what looks like delightful coleslaw. I could eat that. I had non roller taquitos tonight.

0121. July 12th. No corndogs, donuts, or pizza. They had Hi Rev, but didn't get any. Dozen NASTY breakfast sandwiches.
The J continues to be anti American.

One of the big draw backs of this time slot is the main offering for food, not brought from home, is mostly breakfast choices.
I've been on a 'Chompies' cinnamon raisin bagel, with whipped berry cream cheese kick.

    LindaPV Thanks this.

I guess I'm the only one that doesnt mind their breakfast sandwiches. The biscuits are awful but living in the south has made a picky biscuit eater. However the steak ones are ok as are the SEC on an English muffin. The J in Pembroke had SEC on french toast which was pretty good too. I think the J west of Omaha is the only other one ive seen that has them.

It goes without saying my standards for "decent" food have certainly been lowered by these truck stop chains we live out of. Im reminded when scheduling or convenient placement allows me to stop at a REAL restaurant for a meal.
