Oh I always plan my escape well in advance to committing to a course of action lol. That was the lane nearest the scale, so I was able to back out, without having to back too far, and flip around and be on my way.
That guy is probably still sitting there asking his co driver / mentor what they should do about the red truck behind them lol.

    Bakerman Thanks this.

This is the flying j across the street from Jack in the box right. I love Pilots/Flying J pizza. Probably not the most healthly but man is it good.

Probably? Maybe install a casket in the sleeper. That way, when you kick off from a big ol' greasy heart attack in the hot Phoenix sun, it makes it easy to get you out in a nice, neat package. And the pizza grease dripping out of you won't sully the truck.

Come on now can't you survive with out a corn dog? I guess that'll be one less space that will be filled up in the parking lot!

The article was published on 2009. As I recall, Flying J started getting rid of their buffets soon after and replaced them with Dennys. I could be mistaken on the time line. Certain locations had pretty good buffets, too.

And I think this caused Petros and TAs to reduce the quality of their buffets because they had less competition.

Anyway, that's all I remember about the Flying J fiasco - no more buffets.

Can I use this thread to complain about PFJs already lackluster rewards program becoming all but useless now? Guess Haslam is pinching pennies to cover court costs

The J I have to deal with in Pecos Tx is a complete dump. 9 million cig butts and assorted garbage right by the front door. Understaffed and ALWAYS some yahoo in line with some problem. LOves across the street is much better but hard to get into the place because thats where everyone else goes because J Hole sucks -
AND, good luck getting anything to eat at the dennys at jhole, in the evening, Cant phone in an order because the phone is locked up in the office. Worst dennys ive ever seen.
