They have packets of spicy chili sauce to cover that.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Are you complaining that they use leftovers like most people do with cooking instead of throwing the meat out. Just because the hamburger didn't sell in a limited time window doesn't mean it has suddenly went bad.tucker Thanks this.

I flipped hamburgers at wendys and yes the meat would be re-purposed for chili. Usually if it sat on the grill longer than 15 minutes (iirc its been years) it would get put into a warmer and then ground up. I dont remember if it was ever frozen overnight, but i do remember making the chili first thing in the morning and having to chop everything. Also any chili left over at the end of the night was put in the cooler and reused first thing in the morning (very common in food service). The beans and sauce were canned, but the veggies were all fresh. We had fresh produce delivery twice a week.
It's honestly nothing scandalous, Chicken joints use left over chickens in pot pies etc...Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
I just wish they’d go in back and kill a cow and put that fresh meat in the chili.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
