The auditor does know there will be fines but most will not say to avoid conflict before they can get out of there. If the auditor seemed like there wouldn't be fines then there probably isn't gonna be. If you are nice to these auditors and not giving them static about everything they ask you for most are willing to help you by showing tips and things like that to help you with the next one.

Yes, she was very nice and I had everything ready for her to see that she requsted before visit. She didn't even look at most of the stuff, but 1 month of logs, fuel receipts, and d/a info, insurance form mcs90, cab card, drivers license's. She did offer tips and info to help and even a cell # to call if we needed anything. I guess if we are fined big bucks I will be calling her to send me welfare sign up sheets! or asking her where the nearest homeless shelter is!LOL

Sounds like you made out pretty good then. The auditors we get ask us for 6 months of everything. Logs, receipts, paystubs, maintenance records, etc. and you don't get to pick which drivers they will choose which ones they want to see. Never give them extra things to look at even if it is for good intentions it creates a new trail for them to follow.

@ Rif Raf McQ: I wanted to ask if you can please send me the Excel spreadsheet you use to keep track of the logbooks? I was trying to send you a private message but I can't do that because I am knew here and I didn't want to post my email address here in public. If you PM your email address I will shoot you a blank email to reply to. I would truly appreciate it.

Hello Rif Raf Mcq,
Could you please email me the excel spreadsheet as well? In a bind trying to get through this safety rating upgrade process and need all the help that I can get.
Does anyone know where i can get a template of a corrective action plan as well?
Thanks -
Everyone goes thru a fmcsa audit within 18 months of starting your authority. You also go thru a IRP audit really both are just to make sure your doing everything right and all your paper work is in order.
I just had the enrollment audit and I didn't have anything wrong and she was very happy with all my stuff she told me than I'd never have another audit unless I started getting alot of out of service or was involved in a fatal accident. That's been 7 years ago now and have never herd from them again
