Well Chinatown— you nailed it first post. Took some time but I’m starting on Monday with LTI (Lynden). Yard is about 20 minutes from home and supposed to be 99% home daily.

That's freaking hilarious. That just brightened my night for some reason.

Thanks Bill - funny video.
Yep, most milk tankers (Milky Way) from the yard I’ll be at. Sounds like I’ll mostly be pulling wine and juice. -
Thought pulling double tankers during rush hour, in the Portland rain, would be harder than it was—
Getting used to the surge.. juice concentrate was a hard hitting surprise.
Having fun so far. Coworker was surprised they hired me since it’s so “slow”. Did 30 hours OT last week so not sure what will happen during the Busy season!
This I guess is a two part post because it looks like the above didn’t post before for some reason.
Part 2– into my 4th month now and doing good. Our late coming winter was quite the surprise— been throwing chains a lot. Probably a total of a thousand miles combined wearing chains. I’ve been up Cabbage, Ladd Canyon, Satus, Snoqualmie, Ryegrass and Manastash. 105,500# of milk and stainless is interesting for sure. Heavy I lose traction because it’s so much weight. Empty I lose traction because there’s so little weight on the tires. Nothing new I’m sure to anyone reading this.
State of emergency led to an HOS waiver for a bit so it’s been 18 hour on and 10 hours, 1 minute off. I’m beat but I’ll survive and enjoy all the time and a half.Bill51, REO6205, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this. -

Sambo— I work from the Sunnyside yard. I’ve been to the other yards and they are all quite a bit smaller (except home base at Lynden).
Shoot me a PM and I can tell you who to talk to etc.sambo907 Thanks this.
