you could try some place like summit racing--and i think they have lots of lights for offroading and such--might have a size there for you---can either order online--or they have room for truck parking as well at tallmadge

I agree rambler sometimes I Feel like I got blisters on my eyes from the unnecessary bright lights meeting them and after passing them.

I used a set of PIAA's on my Star that were 135 watts per side. Had them down low like 14 inches off the ground. They worked amazingly well in bad snow storms. But PIAA makes Perlux look cheap in pricing. However PIaa has a lifetime warranty on the lenses. Got mine replaced twice

i used square off road 55 watt halogen lights that fit very well and worked great in adverse weather. just make sure to aim 'em low. almost never got a complaint except by a few candy ###es who wanted to drive mine as well as theirs especially on 4 lane divided highways where the lights never did shine in their eyes. i hit a fog bank in maryland on top of one of the hills so dense you couldn't see to even get off the road and was glad to have the lights then. so was the state cop who followed me that night as we talked on the c.b.. we came uopn one of the worst crashes i have ever seen as it appeared one guy was trying to stop in the fog and another guy didn't. before that, the only time i had ever seen a person ripped into 2 pieces was in the service.
the lights have a purpose, and ought to be used for that purpose. if you go with a clear lens and halogen bulbs, just consider the other guy who is coming at you. funny how for years fog lights were on just about every road tractor out there and nobody whimpered.

CLC379 Thanks this. -
my uncle had a set on every truck he owned after his headlights quit coming down a mountain in colorado back in the 40's at the time he didnt have extra lights
1982 the first big truck i drove otr his 1982 cabover freightliner, at night he warned me the dimmer switch had a glitch if you didnt hit it fast& hard the lights would go out, while driving he showed me the switch for the auxillary lights about two hours later coming down a hill two lane southern texas i hit the switch wrong. traveling about 60mph all the sudden black cant see nothing i finally found the switch, now i dont think i will ever own a truck without them.
just like headlights they need to be adjusted right, and imo only used when they are really needed -
When you get right down to it those 'fog' lights really don't light up much... shut down your headlights and you're lucky to see 50' in front of your bumper...
BIG RIGGER Thanks this. -
Yeah but in those days...They were left off until they were actually needed!
These days we have morons driving around with them on 24 hours a day that don't have the common decencey to shut them off when they're coming at you on a 2 lane road or when they're behind you and shining right in your mirror.
To the OP...I always buy the bumper without the cutouts on the rare occasions that I need to replace a bumper.BIG RIGGER Thanks this. -
Make sure what you get are DOT approved or you could get a ticket. Fog lights are amber and as the name implies meant to be used in fog. Is this what you are asking about? It seems some people are talking about driving lights. I have a set of LightForce lights, keep them covered down here. With them on you can tell how long since someone shaved from a mile away.
