Here's my update since getting out on my own. No doubt that I made the right choice, getting over 2,500 miles each week and never have I had to sit waiting for my next load before finishing the one I'm on. I think a large part is how you do in training, we ran as a team and switched every 10 hrs, never told my trainer that I was to tired to drive and we covered A LOT of country. Trainers have to do evaluations on you too so if you have a deadline and tell them, "well, guess we aren't going to make it", that translates into, "I'm NOT gonna make it" and when you have to have someone else take that load ....... you'll figure it out as you are sitting alone in a T/S parking lot for a long, LONG time waiting for a load when drivers like me are running coast to coast, week after week. Not being arrogant, just trying to say if you say NO, you are basically saying NO I don't want to make money. Not every run is 2500+ miles, but a few 400-600 in a couple of days adds up almost as quickly.

    Punky74 Thanks this.
