    The secret is out.

Robot trucks are really the brainchild of Hal and Ultron. So are computers.

An your cell phone. It's just a computer in a phone form.

    Watch out.

Their coming for you. All of you.

That above is a message to the computer overlords, so they know to find and destroy all you naysayers. If Hal and Ultron don't get you...Skynet will.

    You've been warned.

Submit or you will be assimilated.

    We are the borg!

If you can’t fuel it with a taco, it shouldn’t be operating mobile equipment.

They already think “internet influencer” is a career, boys can be girls, a degree in womens studies guarantees them a $2m/yr job and I owe them a post secondary education and a house. Paying them for being dumb as a post isn’t going to help.

I like how they keep saying self driving trucks are coming. The fearmongering makes less truck drivers and my pay goes up.

It’s always those miserable office people who say those things, in reality their job will be taken over long before a truck drivers. Their jobs are being taken over by indians to begin with. It’s much easier to automate an office computer than an 80k pound truck. I love their seething and projecting. Such misery!

100% correct. I have never seen a more useless 'job' than a dispatcher.

As I said before, why even have them?

It’s comedy anymore. The ones that seem to scream about rates and profitability problems all the time are the ones that want autonomous trucks. Look in their offices, they all have 2 or 3 or more of the suit and skirt bunch for every truck driver they employ. Obviously it’s the truck drivers making the cost of moving freight so high.

I wouldn't mind an OTR gig where I only had to get out of the bunk when air lines needed to be connected.

It will be 25 to 30 years before we see fully automated semi trucks on the road. From point a to point B with no human intervention. It will be phased in incrementally probably starting in about 15 years. It will take tens of billions if not trillions of dollars to restructure the infrastructure to accommodate these trucks just in and out of shipping facilities. How many of you already have sensors on your trucks? Collision centers, lane control, blah blah blah and as you know it always makes errors, see’s crap that’s not there, brakes when it doesn’t need to. The last company I worked for, the collision avoidance system slam the brakes on while cruising down the freeway because it saw a ghost or something. Maybe a shadow, I have no idea. Twice and almost caused an accident. They can’t even get that stuff right. And y’all are worried about completely automated self driving trucks? We will all be dead and gone before they have those. Or retired.
