LTL senior line haulers are getting around 62 cpm, last time I checked ... Ask a Holland driver next time you see one they are making around 200k a yr
Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
I just think it's funny a guy is calling bs on everyone else, then tells a bs story about how much he made

Now here's a hand with his priorities straight
1. Family first ( most important )
2. Bow hunting big bucks , then hooking into a lunker or 2.
3. Working extra hard to accomplish all of that !
Those are the very reasons I stayed in the food service delivery area for 33 years with GSF. Home every night , great pay / bennies , and time to enjoy the outdoors with my family.
I'm retired now , but Kudos to you superflow !Last edited: Jan 26, 2016

I just reread the regulations to confirm my thoughts before posting. The 100 air mile rule only exempts drivers from keeping a log book and taking a 30 minute break. All other fmcsa rules still apply including the 60/7 or 70/8 rule.Bob Dobalina and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this.

Where are you located? Chinatown might be helpful.
I ran OTR for a couple of years. I loved it, chance to see all the country in all seasons.
Now I run to the oil patch out of OKC, mostly regional to rigs in OK and TX, but also get runs as far as Wyoming or Pennsylvania. Locally I know most of the roads so well I don't bother trip planning, other than to look at the weather report. The challenge is finding rigs that require miles of dirt/mud driving. Pay is a percentage of anything the truck makes. Paychecks vary, but home at least a few nights every week. -
I'm located in Pennsylvania Virginia area

I am little interested, if LTL drivers make that much money. How come I always see "Now Hiring" signs? Seen one at Sysco and holland.
And my opinion to Op would be. OTR is where you get your experience. I started with dedicated and now I am nervous as hell to leave my bubble. That's why I am going OTR later in the year to survive in the hostile territory, and learn from it. OTR for me is the beginning of it all..Good luck budFLYMIKEXL Thanks this.
