Driver should have noticed this and tightened inner dogs, but this would have meant breaking outer dome seals which would have caused issues at offloading plant. Typically driver don't load milk, drop and hook, but need to check domes. Well in mid continent.
As far as food grade, man the #### I have seen in hauling milk would have you not eat any dairy products again. At the plant in Dalhart for Hilmar, they don't even require their guys to use any kind of boot covering, face mask, just offload trucks; mud and crap falling right into top dome after opened, DfA is silitly better.

Gross, I don't like milk anyways so I never drink it but still. I still use butter and all that.
I used to haul guts, hides and heads out of slaughter houses... I hated my life. What a depressing place to work. -
Yep haul bone meal out of slaughter houses, make you think twice about eating meat, but I do.

Yeah it's really foul the way food is in this country. Just the whole thing. There is no respect for anything and it's just about money, there is also no way to feed everyone without mass production. Tough situation. -

Not new either, I remember being brought out on the rack, sometime in the mid 80's to look into an orange juice trailer we were cleaning for one of our customers. Must have backhauled some sort of Rosin and the setup hung in drips from the ceiling of the whole tank.
The worst was the load of lube oil in to Fla that was backhauled w/ orange Juice after a simple rinse/steam/dry; no detergent or caustic so the orange juice must have scoured the pores of the metal
never a claim on it...
or the driver making do unloading chocolate at Enterman's bakery through a three inch chemical hose... -

Today I saw a reefer dumped on the shoulder. Both sets of wheels on the drivers side blown, trailer bucked in the middle and touching the ground and the wall of the trailer was missing a 10 foot section... it was stacked sky high with dead hogs overflowing though the blown out wall. No wonder it buckled...slim shady Thanks this. -

Yup, I'm sure they'll come by with a couple dump trailers and a loader and just rip the trailer open and scoop it out. If they're smart at least... no way I'd be touching that after it sat in the sun a couple days.

Milk tanks are vented. The vents will not allow milk to come out while driving.
A bad gasket could be.
Or my problem is the dairy doesnt tighten the dog ears down enough and it leaves room for the milk to make its way out.
Osha across the whole united states says you cant be on top of a tanker without fall protection. Most companies follow this and dont require you to go up top. If your me, i got a job to do. If that requires some cat walking between dome lids. So be it. But legally i can refuse. Especially if its raining, snowing, storming.
Dont even ask at the dairy to use their fall protection. Thats a big no no by the dairies insurance company. What a joke that is.
Most drivers though, will not make sure the dog ears are tight. I know i dont, unless im loading to #### near full like today. Was within 400 pounds of being full in the front, tightened em down because i knew she would leak if not.JReding Thanks this.
