I worked for Canada Dry for a single day. They paid by the case but so many things would rob your time so you ended up getting screwed. I learned that day i would never work a local job without hourly pay and overtime over 40.Cat sdp, nextgentrucker, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this.

Cool, since most decent companies with good pay require at least 1 year of experience, I was thinking of using that as a way get it and go straight to a good OTR one.

So you don't make more money in Beverage, got it.Iamoverit Thanks this.

When do you graduate? Have you contacted any companies yet? I know you have a pretty good list so far.nextgentrucker Thanks this.

I'm honestly not happy with the drive time schedule I've been getting from my school, I'm only getting 1 drive in one day a week and we have 11 drives total, at this rate I'll be graduating all the way at end of January. I haven't been applying to jobs lately, I'm waiting until I graduate since I have no idea really when that will be cause of my very little schedule, but if my schedule continues like that, I'd say in January. What do you think Armellini? Their headquarter is in Palm City, 25 minutes away from me but I fear that they're hiring team only. What I was thinking was do food service for a year and then jump to Indian River Transport, last time I spoke to them, they needed at least 6 month experience, hopefully being it from local won't be a problem.Chinatown Thanks this.

Indian River is a good goal.
Even teaming for 6 mos. with Armellini might be better than food service if Indian River will hire you after 6 mos.
At least with Armellini you'll see some long runs. I think there's a terminal in California.

Yeah, that's the goal, it's to try Indian River after that experience, if they don't take me, then I'll try this flatbed ( Built by Flatbed Drivers, Still Managed by Flatbed Drivers | COTC ) that another user recommended, he said it's one of the companies out there. I'd rather do Food Service before doing Team, that's how much I like my space in the truck lol.
