Dude. Not a single person here attacked you for being former law enforcement. No one said you are the bad guy, they simply don't agree that radar is 100 percent accurate and fail proof under every conceivable circumstance.
Respect for an individual or badge/uniform does not mean every one must agree with you on all topics.

It sounds to me like what trooper to trucker is talking about are the radar finders. If some one is running radar then they go off. So he would not have his radar on untill he saw the moving vehicle, so as to not alert the radar finder.

Technically an illegal radar disrupter could operate on the same range as radar to throw back a signal untrue to the drivers real speed, which I think is what most people are talking about.

Dont most agencies use lidar now anyways?

I know what I know whether you agree or not it's not about agreeing it is about you all know all about trucks from driving one. I know about what I say in LE because I was an expert witness on all "opinions" i have posted. Which makes it way more than an opinion. Also issues have been in other threads too in my "opinion".

Depends. From a moving or stationary patrol car with a mounted radar I could get speeds from oncoming opposite direction, in front same direction and from the rear same direction. Parked with a radar gun you hold with sights any direction, only it isn't totally accurate in curves but in the suspected vehicles advantage.

It's the internet. And anyone can make any claim to all manner of accomplishments, there is no way to verify any of anyone's claims. They are just as likely to be blowing smoke up everyone's ###. You may very well have been an expert witness at any number of trials. However there is no way to verify that, so very few will ever take your word as gospel. Same as very few will take my word as gospel on things I feel I'm rather knowledgeable about. therefore, almost everything here is considered little more than opinion.

How about put your money where the keyboard is and we will meet and I will bring any evidence you wish to see. Then you will change your tune. Ill bring my monthly pay stubs, badge and glock gap presented to me, and copies of court records. So tha'ts my hand to offer, what is it worth to you. Hell Ill take a week off to meet halfway. I don't see the military veterans (thank those here who served) catch the same crap I am catching. Man up and take my offer or shut up take your balls and go home.

Dude. Relax. I'm not challenging you or calling you out. I'm stating the realities of internet forums. at no point did I attack you. you expressed a view, and others expressed a different view. Then you wigged out with this whole respect thing. I merely put in a different view of how respect for a profession doesn't mean 100 no questions asked agreement. so now you have redirected your angst towards me.

a word if advice, life is stressful and tough enough. no need to add to it by finding offense in things said on an internet forum. you will be a lot happier if you keep that chip on your shoulder in check.
