what does that mean ??

 

I found it interesting when i first drove in the USA that one could buy or sell a radar detector however it was illegal to use it! Sure is an interesting country to live. That's kind like saying its ok to sell and buy marijuana but its illegal to smoke it. I've always found if one observes the law one usually has no issues with the law I know in Australia there always whinging about how its revenue raising however its amazing when you don't speed they never ever get any revenue from you.

 

Sorry, I don't think sitting in a median with a radar gun puts you in the same respect category as a military veteran. Anything that happened as a result of your career choice was exactly that--a result of your choice.

 

Well with that logic anything that happens to veterans in their career choice unless drafted......however I couldn't get in but my dad retired from the army so I have a ton of respect for veterans. That logic is incorrect on so many levels and apparently you missed the admin's post.

 

It's not even about respect for law enforcement or military. I have tons of respect for both, and have taught my children to respect them. however that doesn't make every soldier or officer 100 percent correct at ask times. History is filled with examples of military leadership making bone headed mistakes. we can have a discussion of how custer made a gross tactical error due to his over confidence and still have plenty of respect for our soldiers fighting for our liberties right?
How about respect for our commander in chief? I think obama has taken this country in the wrong direction, does that mean I have no respect for the office of the president of the United states?

 

Why keep chiming in? I am leaving it alone and would like the same. Views have been expressed.

 

You are absolutely correct when it comes to a radar detector. On the other hand, if I have a radar unit installed and transmitting on the same band(s) - I will effectively jam your radar.

 

Even then you can be tracked. It is less about the device and more about the cellular network and enhancements that have been made over the course of the past 10 -15 years.

 

Well it has become quite obvious that I have no clue what I am talking about so you all have at it.
