I once left a paper mill in Ticonderoga,N.Y.@00:01hrs on 12/24,and was home in Orange City,Fl. wrapping Santa gifts by 20:00hrs later that night.Try that in a 65mph Cannon Express International.Lets just say on the deserted down hill streatches I was able to hammer down.I had most of Christmas in the Sleeper, and there was no way Santa was going to miss my house.I quit that sorry outfit soon after when they couldnt get me home for my Grandmothers funeral, even though they had 8days notice.Matt

Thank God for FMCSA. eventually all the bad companys and drivers will be forced out of the business its already happening. go check your FMCSA score and your companys, when it gets to high the good carriers will no longer trust your carrier and you will be out of business.

Im sure most of you have noticed ads for drivers say "get more miles"... Why do companies assume that all you care about is how many miles you can run? Is it because thats what drivers want?
Would you rather run illegal at 30cpm or legal at 50cpm? I saw a rookie on this board a few months ago who was so exited about his new truck and being turned loose on his own so he could hammer out those 800 mile days... He didnt even know how much he would be paid for detention, breakdown time, or deadhead. He just knew they promised him 4000+ per week. Drivers obviously keep falling for it.
Good luck with your 4500 miles a week there supertruckers, I'll do 2000 for the same money and be home every night.

Yes you can do more than a 1000 with a reefer, done it myself a time or two, was I forced? Not in any way, was I asked? You betcha, was there extra pay? You better believe there was, but forced, never, that's a decision the driver makes on his own, to many companies out there to say, " they forced me to run illegal ", don't like where your at? Leave and go some place else

Force means a company will threaten your life if you don't run illegal.I have yet to find one company that forces their drivers.Your dispatcher will intimidate you but that doesn't mean you still do something you feel is unsafe.Too many drivers kiss ### in this industry then they come on here saying they were forced. Its their own fault for not doing research on the company before driving for them. Its their own fault for running illegal.I see you're a student so do yourself a favor and don't fall into their trap. You don't wanna do something tell them flat out no and keep evidence proving you was asked to do something unsafe and/or illegal incase later on down the road you get fired for it then you can sue them for wrongful termination.

Fyi just cause I ask a simple question don't mean im a student & from the looks of it you seem to be the scrub talking out of ignorance. I never was asked to roll over my hours unlike you Mr. Wanna be SuperTrucker I DON'T have no problems on the word *NO*. Its pretty much the reason I got fired from 2 of my old jobs back in my early 20's. If you think I do kiss & tell like you do you need to take the knee pads off & put those big boy pants on. Its a simple question & get the CORRECT term. *if you don't make this run your fired* that's force dispatch stupid & its messing with your money & your family you supply for. But stupid truckers102 don't know that. Everything DON'T always have to be a gun to your head. But ill let you be to #### stupid to do the honors in believing it
