We just need a pickup with a Cummins engine, Allison transmission, Dana rears and Ford cab. But alas, no such perfect truck will ever exist....

Oh, and I know it's contrary to all sorts of common sense, but the tailgate on the Tesla truck is the best one currently. I really like the idea of a ramp the folds up in the tailgate. Better than the Ram that splints in the middle anyway.

This isn’t the first time Ford has had quality control/warranty issues come to a head(remember the DCT issues on the Focus and Fiesta)? When are they gonna learn??

The 6.0 wasn’t that big of an issue down here. Everyone deleted them and upgraded turbo. Most even did it during the warranty period. No issues then. Lots of them still running that way.

Up here it was a big deal, even back then. Ford and Navistar were going back and forth on who would was going to shell out money for the warranty claims, with the customers caught in the middle. As a result Ford tore up the contracts and built their own diesels in house. And true to fashion they try to drag out lawsuits in court for an extended period of time so they think people will forget about it and sweep it under the rug. That plan backfired when those company documents came out!

Good pickup if you know what to do. And can be had reasonably priced.
