Never saw a set up like this on any truck I’ve ever owned. It has a little bit of play in it, of course I’d like to replace it, just not sure what I’m looking at. Thank you in advance.

It is a CV type joint, forget the technical term for it but it is missing the boot. how much free play is there?

not much, enough to wiggle it a bit though, had a boot on it, I pulled it down to get a better look. This is where the steering column connects to the steering shaft. Never saw 1 connected with a joint like this.

It's called a "Rzeppa" CV joint and is popular on front drive axles. I never saw'r one on a truck, however. How do you like the LTL? Can I ask what you paid for the truck?
