Forgitron aluminum wheels

Everything has a price. Companies are bought and sold everyday.
Dont believe it improves things, most of the time, imo.

 

Forgitron had to know about this for a long time. My best guess is they will not be producing the different sizes now and to the people who bought Forgitron, What about your wonderful 7 year warranty now

 

To all who are interested, the now Accuride Camden facility, formally Forgitron Technologies, was purchased in very rapid deal which was brokered in about a one month time frame. The Accuride reasoning was to expand capacity and create a South Eastern US shipping point. We will be making the same quality wheel we have always made but it will be part of the Accuride family of products. There are expansion plans so more jobs in the USA. We will not retain any of the part numbers used buy Forgitron, there will be new Accuride numbers assigned. I will put those numbers on this form as they become available. So you said the purchase was done in about a month and was very rapid? A month ago 5/18 to be exact you talked about how you were going to produce different wheel sizes, it seems you already knew of the pending sale and had no intention of making these wheels. What about the warranty? Is Accuride going to cover that? According to them they are not they just bought the assets not the liability.

Accuride is a company that knows financial trouble very well. They just emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy not long ago. And yes Accuride does make a fine wheel I am just not sure how long that will be true. I know I hear promises from manufacturers all the time I just look at past history.

My money is on Alcoa

 

While can not say I was unaware of what was going on I can say that we as a company made the decision to continue with business as usual because the agreement was not final until just about a week ago. In point of fact there were several issues that were unresolved as of last Friday that could have sent the whole thing by the wayside. That is just water under the bridge. We here and all of the Accuride Corporation are going to make an utmost effort to take care of all customers, past, present and future. As for the warranty I have a legal obligation not to discuss that in an open form. If you have an issue with a product made by Forgitron there is a website that addresses those issues. www.forgwarranty.com all of the information is contained there. As far as Alcoa they make a good wheel as well, if you have followed me at all you know I never make any negative comments about my competition. Every one has to make a quality product or they other guy will get their business.

All that I have to say is I will be sure and watch and see what this brings. I am a little shocked by the saleof Forgitron but for some reason I did see it coming. I hope it all works out for the companies and exspecially for the trucker's.
