I'd say his assessment of SNI is spot on, I spent 8 months in an orange truck myself.
Not many complaints about SNI but they (management) did keep me from moving away from Dollar Tree dedicated to intermodal after I had been accepted for the job.
I gave them 8 months at DT out of Ridgefield, WA but they wouldn't let me leave for intermodal because of a driver shortage at DT.
That was never going to change due to the hard work and low pay so I left the company completely.
Glad to be local now and home every night, plus I make more money working less days and hours!

Yeah that IS a problem in trying to change jobs within the company. Almost lost out due to a wait from one account to another. THEE account manager didnt ask me why I was leaving, nothing. No exit interview. Surprised. Were I in management I would wonder why an employee was leaving. If it was something that could change in a positive way to make things better for those still there then why wouldnt you? DBL is a nice guy. Thats all I'll say about him.

If it was only as easy as Driving.

12 years (of 22), with the Bulk Division.

If only they would pay me for the other work.

What do you mean there, Buddy? I'm getting ready to try to transfer over to Bulk from the Dry van section. Do you have to do alot of unpaid work?

I never drove for the van division for schneider.

I did 7 years with JB & 3+ with Ryder.

    Bulk is much better.

Yes, there is a lot of work involved, that is unpaid. depends on the DBL.

Driving is work. and can be tough on the driver and more so on his family. But for 15 years it kept us fed and with a roof over our heads. over all I think there are more positive than negative. We have all been into shops and seen men standing at a machine or moving stuff around or whatever . Did anyone of us ever say there is the job for me. I DON"T THINK SO. Driving along and listening to a good audiobook is a nice thing if you are not in heavy traffic. I am however
a New England boy and traffic is what we do. at least I retired with one hell of an audiobook collection and now I have them all on my computer and I still listen after I drop my kids off .I am retired from trucking and now drive special needs kids part time.
    Good luck and God Bless

As a bulk IC I am curious as to what you are not being paid for, please be specific. As this is the second carrier I have pulled bulk for I can honestly say that I have never been cheated on my pay here. Now when I was with Transport Service for a couple of years, I was cheated out of detention and milage. That is why I left there in '08.

I would like to know exactly what you are referring to please.
