Former May Drivers Lounge...

A lot of drivers sit for 2 days 'cause there's no freight.

 

If you are referring to the company truck ..it was Governed at 60mph. But I average 7.01 (last 71,000 miles) on my Long Nose Non-Aerodynamic Pete with 22% idle time ... My average speed is 65mph and cruise control when I can.

 

That's why its "NoPay, No Freight May" ... At Interstate (IDC) its 3,000+ miles a week, every week, including all winter .. Thank God for paper logs ..lol

 

IDC? Who is this? Do they hire recent CDL grads? Sounds more to my liking!!

Thats true, but if you set your set, your pta properly and know how to utilize your hours you sit less. I received a bonus last month for driving 12019 paid miles. Drove everyday.

 

Ya need 1 year experience to drive for IDC. Main Terminal is Tacoma, Washington, - Fontana, California and Lebanon, Tennessee with service and drop yards all over the place.

I ran solo last month with those miles. I'm a runner. Some people aren't but I am.

 

Many are runners and don't get but 1,500 miles a week... you are a trainer and they like you ...
