I'm looking around. I had just about enough of this company. Biggest mistake ever.

Hey all. Looking at either May or Schneider to get started with since getting my CDL but from what I am reading here it's not looking to good to sign up with May.

Take it in context: May is a starter company. A good one. But their ways grow tiresome within a year. Only a complete idiot (such as myself) would stay longer than that. You will be fine with either May or Schneider. Just avoid CR England!

Thanks Seam. Anyone know much about Schneider? The folks over at May have been real nice and helpful but wondering if going with a bigger company would be a better decision. May only have the 3 day orientation and then you go out with the trainer where as Schneider do a 3 week training program.

Friends of mine trained through Schneider. No complaints.

One thing to consider is where the nearest yard is. For me, that I could stash my car at the Yolo yard was one of the main selling points. Also, I think that (in general) the smaller the company, the better.

The training at May is three weeks with a Trainer, then they let you fly on your own. Their orientation is just three days of filling out forms, watching DVDs and watching Turgid Tom pack away calories.

Good info but what about safety? May good with that? I heard they have autos sometimes too.
