Yeah life is ok,the first year was tough between the learning curve and working graveyard shift but since I landed dayshift in Oct it has been looking up.
Not making big money but I expect to be at about $50K this year,I'm pay'n the bills work'n 5 days a week averaging 11-12 hrs a day.
For me being home every night and having a weekend is priceless,7:00am start time everyday is nice too.

I think you hit the nail on the head, Scooter. I avoid all but the really large TA's after 4PM. Other than fueling, the only reason to go to a TS is for a shower. I sat at a small, tight Pilot at Exit 99 near Tumwater WA and watched guys do 1 foot pull ups for 10 min to back into a spot that they would vacate 15 min later. Ridiculous waste of time.

Man I hate that truck stop!
I take that exit quite a bit hauling chips from a mill a couple miles up the road from there,I won't even pull in there for a cup of coffee.
Had to stay there a few times when I was hauling freight, doing the musical chairs thing trying to get a place to park, ugg!

Chillin' at my pad this morning. Starbucks, donut for the grandson, college hoops. Life is good ;-)

Agreed, I won't pull into that peelot anymore either. I just go over to the one the west side of the freeway instead.

OK, I wondered what was over there, glancing at it as I turned left. I parked at that peelot after scaling a/or fueling couple times mid-day and ended up sitting there for 12 hours or so waiting for a dispatch. But of course, I had plenty of room to wheel around at that time.

The other truckstop is old. However, it's more open. The peelot is just so darn congested.

Well, I'm all Disneyland out. Beautiful day there but my feet hurt from all the walking. It was interesting taking my truck and trailer into the parking area for sure.

ok, so my noob question for the evening lol... 8/2 split... i stop at 730, i can get up at 330 with remaining hours left over from my 11 right? or is it remainder of 14? and then I just have to complete 2 more hours in sleeper and that completes my 10 and it resets correct? >.<
