Former OTR Driver with 3+ years looking for work

    I currently live in East Orlando FL looking for work. I'm considering regional runs and local, out 4-5 days and back for 2-3+ if possible for regional. Looking for something that pays north of 1200 a week at minimum. I am thinking about moving to Pensacola Florida in the foreseeable future so maybe there is better jobs in that area like Mobile AL than where I'm currently at. I've had my CDL for 4 years and tanker endorsement for 2 year but never pulled any tanker. Ran reefer for 3 and a half years. I also have my TWIC card in hand and a clean MVR. I would consider moving if the pay was right. I would prefer to not have to deal with the Northeast. I've spent most of my OTR career so far in the northeast and I'm tired of it. Also willing to get my Hazmat and/or double endorsement.

    I run for Abilene... great company but OTR and out 12 home 2...

    I looked at Oakley a while back and they were hiring local Tanker ... local meaning the State of Florida... home nightly with a few over nights when required... you are close to their Florida Yard... worth checking into them.

    Thank you for the feedback. Oakley only had OTR last time I checked them out. Trimac is a option when I do decided to move.

    @ThatTruckerGuy16 are you still looking? If so, give Cowan Systems a call at 800 -227 - 0418. We have parking in Orlando. You're out 5 -7 days home for 34 -48 hours. Primary operating area is Florida,and the southeast, and as far north as Roanoke,Va. pulling 53' dry vans no touch freight. Paid every Friday via direct deposit. W -2 position

    You live in a dead zone. The freight coming out of Florida sucks but it's pretty good going in. If you move to the northern part of Florida you might be more within the hiring zones... It's really busy in Atlanta as we all know but that's like 600 miles from Miami, right?
