That’s your choice. And, yeah, without the tool, you choose to be deaf and dumb. Of no help to others when it’s necessary.

Should make a great new tattoo or tee shirt. Fittingly? The look of a loser. Own it.

Following are those things you’ve never heard:

    1) The job comes first when we’re on it.

    2) Expenses like these are tax deductions.

    3) (And maybe we should add something about the parable of the Good Samaritan. As opposed to the usual bad ones).

As above, an 880 or 980 off Amazon isn’t expensive. Or with points. A decent topload antenna to go with it. I’d add a Uniden speaker to go along.

As much as you had into what was stolen (has happened to me also), I’m a little surprised you hadnt a backup rig.

    Now you will.

I’ve still got a 27” mast Predator antenna and a 7’ fiberglass top loaded antenna (Skip Shooter maybe?) and an Astatic 636 (I was using a Ranger SRA 198-I think that’s the model number).
Because my Motorola Moto X Pure bit the dust a few weeks ago, I blew any $$ I could’ve justified spending on another CB on a new iPhone that I really didn’t want. (Loved that Moto. It was three years old.) Because they have the reputation of being more dependable than most of their android competitors, that’s what I bought. I plan on keeping this darn thing a LONG time considering how much it was.
When the time comes, I’ll buy a radio. Got one picked out (something other than the two I was asking about).
As far as CHOOSING to be deaf and dumb, if I’d left it up to the boss, we still would be, because he was absolutely against us drivers putting aftermarket antennas on the driver door of the company trucks.
For now, I’m choosing to continue paying my student loans, medical debt, etc off at an accelerated pace. Monthly payments of over $1500 are not unusual (towards a bill where the minimum due is around $100)

If it was enjoyable, I’d agree.

Yeah, my boss doesn’t much care. But Penske might.

My bills are high after a divorce now years in the past. Plenty of other places to spend it, granted.

I’ll think aboutcha next time hail covers the road here in Texas and the illegals jam the brakes on to wipe out the eastbound lanes.

Over a rise, and around a turn.

    No warning just fine, right?

Or the motorcyclist who lost it just past dark last night.

Might be some work to get the gore out of the Drives, but, hey, just another truck drivers day with hours of unpaid labor.

(You know we can go in like this all day, right?)

Set aside the 10k unless you run a classic styled trk...On almost everything else th antenna mount position is to low..
Seeing a 10k on a newer trk with a low mount position makes me cringe...I see that whip wobbelin and the rest of ant wobbelin the opposite way makes me wonder how long before it goes bye bye on the highway into someones windshield......Sooooo much strain on the average bracket n stud..
