1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Based on the poor quality of their other goods, they should probably buy a lot more American products. Unfortunately, made in China seems to be our only option when it comes to most purchases these days. I do however enjoy their melamine laced milk, it's delicious. :biggrin_25524:

Well, I hope not. This country needs work badly. We've got some biased reporting out there, and some ignorant (literally, not in a mean way) reporting going on.

In my country they have placed a moratorium on any more fracking licences being granted up till a full environmental inquiry has been completed.
The media bias seems to be against fracking.
There were a few licences granted before this became the spectacle it now is.
There is big money on both sides of this here.
Part of the argument against fracking is related to the amount of truck loads involved with each drill site.
As if I'm going to see that as a problem.

Okay, I've read all the news articles and heard all the chatter. Is fracking on the verge of being shut down? We're seriously considering getting on the band wagon to make some big $$$. So what's the truth in this fracking business? Is there still money to be made or is it about to be shut down?

If you've read all the articles, you know as much as we do. This started a few weeks back when a ND state official predicted the EPA could force a moratorium as soon as January 2012. The official has since backtracked from that statement, politicians became involved, and the EPA has said there will be no moratorium. The EPA's official fracking study will be complete in 2014. Your guess is as good as anyone else's. I'm moving forward with my plans to get my CDL, get some experience driving in TX, then get work in ND after that. I'm gambling that nothing significant will happen until the EPA's study is completed in 2014. ND and TX have some of the lowest unemployment in the nation. If the administration allows the EPA to shut fracking down now, it would be disastrous for them ...... just mho.

What a bunch of wimps! Even in whacked out California we know there is a "price" to pay for energy.

This is what I posted in the other fracking earthquake thread:
