frame crack. how urgent.

    ya it looks like rust but its crack. I cleaned it off. very very small.

    The reason why we asked where it was is because depending on the location it could be non severe and will not put you out of service. Some cracks are just cosmetic and not structural. Some cracks can happen and never continue to spread. Sometimes a repair on a cosmetic crack can cause more damage then leaving it. Some you just keep clean and sealed with paint. I’ve seen plenty of cracks repaied only to have them continue to spider out in different directions only to be chased continually with a bead of weld and look like crap. If left alone it wouldn't have done that.

    If it’s on a Pete with the low air leaf suspension then that is a very common issue. Seems to be worse with low pro tires. Guess it’s a compromise for the frame to take the added stress of a more compact design.

    thx guys very helpful info I took it to shop he's does welding. he stopped crack and put plate.
