Frame stretch

    If its not a big enough job to need a full truck than it gets more expensive. I’ve been on the check writing end of a lot of concrete work over the years that I want to buy an old mixer truck just for personal use. Lol!

    $1200 to $1500 a foot is about normal charge for frame stretch if it involves drilling and resetting drives. If it is just welding on a complete cutoff it gets way cheaper. Just basically paying for the sleeve and welding labor that way.

    If somebody prices you a frame stretch by the inch or foot, if they are making money doing a 1 foot stretch, they are making a killing at 2’ and longer.

    Stretching a frame is pretty labor intensive, material expenses are minimal compared to labor cost. Labor is about the same to do 1 foot or 10 feet.
