Guys beware. I'm not 100% sure but I think i almost lost 60k. I was offered to buy a 2016 Volvo 670 with 70k miles for $60,000. Seems like a great deal, clean title and all.
Did a rigdig report, and truck had 98,000 miles almost a year ago. It's ok maybe someone made mistake. Truck was super clean like brand new.
It's a small dealer near Atlanta, he wants a cashiers check or financing. I asked for copy of title he could not provide and said he will email a copy, it's been already 4 days.
All he is willing to provide Is the bill of sale and give me the keys to The truck.
The truck is owned by a company out of Canada, his words and was repossed by them. I called the company that is the apparent owner and they have no record of it.
At this point I'm not sure what's going on. I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks

Bean Jr., lovesthedrive and crb Thank this. -
Im considering this a lost deal, but I really don't want anyone else to lose 60k either. Since everything seemed very clean and perfect. I just have a really document oriented wife. Otherwise I would of rum to bank to get the check.

Who is the dealer and where exactly are they located. So others who MIGHT see this, can avoid them.Puppage, slim shady and Maj. Jackhole Thank this. -

Where in Canada are you?
In Canada as well -
We have a company called United truck rentals here
Sounds like a rebuild of after collision
I bet you the motor does not match the build of the truck -
I did report on the truck and checked everything. No accidents and everything checks out.
It's just the lack of title and paper work.
I'm still hoping that it's a legit deal, but it seems to good to be true.
Just wondering if anyone has been in similar situation. -
I wonder which Volvo dealer it was bought from. Maybe you could check that way. Kind of scary to good to be true. Would not give up on it yet. Its so new, but it is weird the mileage is off. How easy is that to change and why would someone want to? Can't a Volvo dealer run a diagnostic test on it to find out the true mileage?
rolls canardly Thanks this.
