I say go for it ! If you are not signing a contract you truly are not obligated to stay if conditions worsen. If you can honestly save yourself 4,000 for school then what do you have to lose. MAKE SURE TO READ ANYTHING YOU SIGN or have someone outside of the company look it over for you.

I'd work for schneider if I lived in that area, yeah.
I was seriously considering schneider 'pumpkin' when I began my schooling, ended up somewhere else tho. I was afraid I couldn't pass the strength requirements there, and they do have to unload your own trailer on occasion, so I choose somewhere else to start.
Tho once I fell like I'm better qualified on tankers, I am considering applying to their tanker division in couple years.
Good luck to you if you choose to accept!

SNI's trucks only go 60mph on the cruise and 62mph with the pedel. They also reserve the right to slip seat you at anytime. They do not have APU's or allow power inverters. And there Idle rules are Very stricked....

I dont know about you but liveing out here months at a time i like to be comfortable.

I say your better off paying for your own school and going somewhere else...just my .02cents

I agree, read the fine print! Ask questions more than twice to see if get same or various answers!
My homework on schneider it looked good and promising place to start. Know one driver liked driving for them. His point was they are picky about their rules and safety. So if your a 'skirt it by' type, I wouldn't, but if you don't mind 'by the book', go for it.

Actually, it doesn't seem bad for a start. But if they're offering $0.32/mile to start, I have to wonder why. It leads me to believe there's a chance of their bulk drivers not making the sort of miles they would pulling a box.

The hazmat test is uniform throughout all of the states. Study, and make sure your background is clean. Really isn't much more to it than that.
