It would only be a good deal if there was absolutely nothing else in the area and you a had a great desire to get into trucking as a newbie. I've ran for schneider before and if the lowly governed trucks aren't enough, miles and having to see them #### oranges all over the road doesn't do it then I dont know what will. I'd only use them for tanker experience and then become an owner with a company paying a better wage. Just my 50cent-lol!

Hi guys, new here, but I'm currently on the hunt for a program to obtain my CDL and the opportunity to do it for free and have the opportunity to work for Schneider, whom I planned on applying to anyway, sounds excellent. Is this training still available, and if so, with whom do I get in contact?

I called Schneider and they said that they no longer offered this training as of 6 months to a year ago once the economy tanked :biggrin_2552:.

I drover for SNI for 3 yrs, went through their school in Charlotte in 08 and I have NO complaints about them that matter. They are a GREAT company to start your career with. The training is what it is, I hope you are a fast learner and a do-it-yourselfer. I say go for it, big time...

3 weeks training and one week hands on.....:biggrin_25524:

No wonder a Pumpkin truck ran me off the road a few months ago.
Not enough training to know how to hold it in a lane while being passed....
