You may stop by and buy it. Pittsburgh Power is 2-3 hours from my home.

Those pitts power mufflers have Donaldson Part # "M100463" etched on them. Do not pay Pitts Power an extra $100 each for re-branded Donaldsons. How do I know? Cause I have two of them under my truck that I foolishly bought from Pitts Power several years ago. I read about it on this forum afterwards and so one day I crawled under to check and see, sure enough they had that Donaldson part number on them.

Does anyone know who makes a 5" inlet with a 7" outlet free flow muffler, i noticed it on a w900 for sale a month ago and can't find out who builds it.

Curious what DOT has to do with anything on this? You mention being harassed by them, what can they do if you have straight piping other than where unmuffled exhaust braking is prohibited?

Just curious is all. Personally, I like to go against the grain a bit now that I am older and prefer a truck as quiet as I can possibly get it. Then I can listen to the stereo. That and after years of straight stacks, the tinnitus ringing in my years makes me regret all the fun I thought I was having with straight stacks. But everyone has to learn that lesson for themselves.

They're not loud at all. At least not in my cab they aren't. Admittedly though larger 6" stacks and duals at that probably tone mine quieter than if it was a single 5" stack. But it's not even loud with the windows down or the sunroof open. Unless I'm in a tunnel or under a bridge. It's a very deep tone that sounds great. Not obnoxious and damages your hearing like straights. Running with some of my buddies they all say it sounds really good passing them. I've never been outside and heard my truck go by so I don't know. It does have a perceptible deep tone though. I straight piped mine originally and it was stupidly loud gave me a #### headache, ridiculous. I wasn't going to put baffled restrictive mufflers back on it. So the only logical thing to tone it down was unrestrictive free flow mufflers thankfully it worked out good.

That's what mine is is. non restrictive mufflers. A deep, throaty sound that raps off nicely jaking.

Can you get both the "loud" and "quiet" any bigger than 5"?

The mileage improvements will vary based on a number of factors. If you like the new sound and can't keep your foot out of it, your mileage might even get worse.

    BigJls1 Thanks this.
