Guess I'm not a "professional" after all, because I'm not a babysitter. Free time is just that- FREE time. I take reasonable precautions, park the truck in a legal parking spot, lock the trailer, use a kingpin lock if I drop the trailer, etc, etc. And I do use a different set of rules when I've got a high value load. But I have never had any complaints from my company about dropping the trailer and bobtailing close by, or about my leaving the whole truck and going off to do something else. I'm a truck driver, not a slave, and I will not be chained to any job 24/7. Funny, I aint been fired yet. But if y'all are to be believed, someday I will be, and then y'all can yell "I told ya so!" In the meantime, while you "professional" drivers are stuck in your sleeper with your TV for company, I have a life. And, yes, as a matter of fact, I do see the country.

No he had a step deck trailer and his motorcycle was above the drive tires strapped down and everything, he said that was his exploring toy, his real motorcycle was at home, don't ask me how he manages weight issues
