They must have changed it. I don't believe in the per-diem is part of my pay. That is MY tax benefit, not the company. imo

To the OP, Don't take me wrong, Central is a OK company for a training company. Just stay away from the lease program. Learn how to drive and get to know the industry regulations before even thinking about leasing or buying a truck..

    BlackNova Thanks this.

The training is free!!! It is for military only and there is no repay or contract to stay with the company. There has been talk on our base that alot of the companies are trying to get with the VA and the different bases to come out and offer this free program to the military guys getting out or retiring. I sure hope it gets taken care of soon. It'll do the companies good to hire responsible guys out of the military because they will honestly have better quality employees. Atleast better then joe shmoe off the street that didn't finish high school....

Per the CRS recruiter I talked today. They will pay the tuition as long as I drive with them for 12 months and show them a DD 214 with and Honorable discharge.

If I leave before the 12 months I have to pay back the tuition in full.

It's the same contract that non-vets have to sign, except they have to pay $25.00 a week for that 12 months.

Just going by what the recruiter told me today..

If it's less than 12 months yes..

After 12 months you are free and clear.. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad, but I get to go to a school close to home and I can come home on week-ends if I want to drive back and forth everyday 2 and half hours I can live at home. Their quarters are only $20.00 a day. Cheaper than gas.
